Dive Into Colorwork: Mobius Colorwork Cowl - Saturdays, 3/14 & 4/18, 10 am - 12 noon

Mobius Stranded Colorwork Knitting Class

Take your knitting to the next level while exploring the magic of stranded colorwork and the unique construction of a Mobius! In this class, you’ll build confidence working with intricate, colorful motifs as you learn the essential techniques for successful stranded knitting—focusing on managing floats, maintaining even tension, and creating beautifully balanced designs. You’ll also master the provisional cast-on, which creates a twisted loop that forms a single-sided, single-edged cowl that grows outward from the center in both directions. It’s a fascinating construction and a fun way to expand your skills while creating a stunning finished piece. 🧶

We’ll be making the fabulous Ooey Gooey Cowl by Andrea Mowry, a fun and engaging project that’s perfect for practicing and mastering stranded colorwork techniques.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Work a provisional cast-on

  • Knit with multiple colors in a single row, including effective yarn-handling techniques

  • Read and follow colorwork charts and symbols

  • Manage tension and control floats on the wrong side

  • Graft stitches together for a polished finish

This class is ideal for knitters looking to expand their skills and confidently explore colorwork.
