Colorwork Orwell's Garden Cowl - Tuesdays, March 10, 11:30 am - 1 pm and March 17, 11:30 am - 12:30 pm
Join us for this two-part class on stranded colorwork as we knit the Orwell’s Garden Cowl, a cozy accessory designed to keep the chill away. Featuring a repeating floral and vine motif, this engaging project is both beautiful and delightfully addictive to knit.
This class is perfect for knitters ready to expand their colorwork skills while creating a striking, wearable piece. You’ll gain confidence working with multiple colors and leave with techniques you can apply to many future projects.
What You’ll Learn:
• How to manage stranded colorwork with four colors
• Ladderback jacquard to control long floats
• Duplicate stitch for clean, polished finishing details
• Tips for maintaining even tension in multi-color knitting
By the end of the series, you’ll have a finished cowl and a stronger foundation in advanced colorwork techniques.
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner - must know how to knit, purl, cast on, bind off and knit in the round.
Materials Needed:
Pattern: Orwell’s Garden Cowl (pattern supplied)
Yarn: DK Weight yarn. One main colour and three contrasting colours. MC will require approximately 200 yards. CCs will require approximately 90 yards each.
Needles: US 5 (5.0 mm) 24” circular needles
Notions: Tapestry/darning needle (available at The Creative Knot)
Class price: $55, includes pattern
Class Schedule: 2-part class. You must be able to attend all classes as there will be no make up classes.
We ask that all yarn for classes be purchased in the shop. 10% discount will be applied. Materials can be purchased at the shop prior to class.

All classes must be paid in advance. If you need to cancel, please do so at least 48 hours before the start of class. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the class start time, as well as missed classes, are not eligible for store credit. No exceptions.
Class Size: 6 person max. Must have two registered for class to occur.
