My First Knit Sweater Class, Sundays, 9/13, 10/4, 11/1, Saturday, 11/7 & Sunday, 12/6, 10–11:30 AM

Join us for this top-down sweater knitting series to create a seamless sweater, tailor-made for you, by you! Take your skills to the next level and tackle your first sweater project!
In this series, you'll learn:
Top-down raglan construction: This allows you to try it on as you go and no sewing required! This class will use raglan sleeve shaping, making it completely seamless.
Customizing your fit: Learn how to properly measure to choose your perfect fit and understand ease. We'll also cover how to make modifications along the way.

Sunday, 9/13 - Measuring & Cast On
Sunday, 10/4 - Yoke Increases
Sunday, 11/1- Split for Sleeves
Saturday, 11/7 - Finish body & pick up sleeves
Sunday, 12/6 - Finishing
Skill Level: Intermediate knitters who are comfortable with knit, purl, increasing, decreasing, and working in the round.
Class Preparation:*Before first class, please complete a gauge swatch in stockinette stitch using your larger needle size. To learn more, watch this video to learn how to make a swatch in the round.
Class price: $165.00 + materials
NOTE: We ask that all yarn for classes be purchased in the shop. Discounts of 10% will be applied. Materials can be purchased at the shop prior to class.

Pattern: Flax Worstedby Tincan Knits
Needle sizes: US 6 and US 8 circular needles
Yarn: 880-2000 yards (805-1829 m) worsted weight yarn
Removable stitch markers
Waste yarn
Tapestry needle
Class size: 6 person max. Must have two registered for series to occur.

All classes must be paid in advance. If you need to cancel, please do so at least 72 hours before the start of class to receive a full refund. Cancellations made 48–72 hours before the start of class are eligible for store credit only. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before class, as well as missed classes, are not eligible for a refund or store credit. No exceptions.

Christine has been knitting for almost 20 years and crocheting for close to 30. While she makes all things ranging from socks to shawls to stuffed toys, her favorite thing to knit is a sweater. On the rare occasion she is not knitting, you can find Christine gardening, baking sourdough, running, or at Disney.
