Skill Building KNIT: Magic Loop, Saturday, August 15, 9 am - 10:30 am
The Magic Loop technique allows you to knit small-circumference projects—like mittens, socks, hat tops, and sleeves—in the round using a single long circular needle (32" or longer). No need for double-pointed needles or juggling multiple cables!
This skill is an important foundation for many of our upcoming classes, including our Two-at-a-Time Sock Class and other projects that use Magic Loop for seamless, efficient knitting.
In this class, you’ll focus on learning the Magic Loop method by creating a simple swatch tube—no specific project, just pure skill-building!
You’ll learn how to:
Cast on using the Magic Loop method
Knit comfortably in the round with Magic Loop
Avoid “laddering” between your stitches for a smooth, professional finish
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner-Intermediate. Must know how to cast on, knit, purl, work in the round, bind off.

40-50 yards of worsted or chunky weight yarn
32" or longer circular needle with a flexible cord appropriate for the yarn weight.

Christine Hodan is your instructor for this class.
Christine has been knitting for almost 20 years and crocheting for close to 30. While she makes all things ranging from socks to shawls to stuffed toys, her favorite thing to knit is a sweater. On the rare occasion she is not knitting, you can find Christine gardening, baking sourdough, running, or at Disney.
