Mix things up by starting your top from the bottom!
In this 6-session knitting series, you’ll create a lightweight top perfect for warmer weather while learning a different approach to garment construction - bottom up!

In this series, you'll learn:
- Bottom-up top construction
- Short row shaping for the shoulder and neckline
- Shoulder seaming
- I-cord bind-off for a polished finish

Skill Level: Intermediate knitters who are comfortable with knit, purl, increasing, decreasing, and working in the round.

Class price: $185.00 + materials

NOTE: We ask that all yarn for classes be purchased in the shop. Discounts of 10% will be applied. Materials can be purchased at the shop prior to class.

Materials:

  • Needle sizes: US 5 and US 3 circular needles, 32" or 40" cable length

  • Yarn: 820-1914 yards (750-1750 m) DK weight yarn
    Plant-based yarn (cotton, linen, or bamboo is recommended)

  • Removable stitch markers

  • Waste yarn

  • Tapestry needle

Class size: 6 person max. Must have two registered for series to occur.

All classes must be paid in advance. If you need to cancel, please do so at least 48 hours before the start of class. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the class start time, as well as missed classes, are not eligible for store credit. No exceptions.

Christine is your instructor for this class.

Christine has been knitting for almost 20 years and crocheting for close to 30. While she makes all things ranging from socks to shawls to stuffed toys, her favorite thing to knit is a sweater. On the rare occasion she is not knitting, you can find Christine gardening, baking sourdough, running, or at Disney.
