Skill Building: Magic Loop, Thursday, November 13, 6 pm - 7:30 pm

Skill Building: Magic Loop, Thursday, November 13, 6 pm - 7:30 pm

The Magic Loop technique allows you to knit small circumference projects (mittens, socks, tops of hats, sleeves) in the round using a single long cabled needle (32" or longer). No need for double point needles or two sets of cabled needles!

This class will focus on learning Magic Loop by making a swatch tube. We are not making anything specific in this class; we are just learning the technique.

In the class you’ll:

- Learn how to cast on magic loop.

- How to knit using magic loop.

- Learn how to avoid “laddering” in your work.

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner-Intermediate. Must know how to cast on, knit, purl, work in the round, bind off.

Materials:

  • 40-50 yards of worsted or chunky weight yarn

  • 32" or longer circular needle with a flexible cord appropriate for the yarn weight.

Class price: $40
