Fair Isle Headband Class – A Fall Project to Get You Ready for Winter!
Add a touch of handmade warmth to your cold-weather wardrobe with this fun and festive Fair Isle–inspired headband—perfect for crisp fall days and snowy winter walks.
What You’ll Learn: Chart Reading Regular & Stranded Colorwork
Class 1: Pattern Overview, Chart Reading, Colorwork methods, Explore the pattern, learn to read charts, demo of colorwork methods. Students will cast on and begin knitting the body of the headband.
Class 2: Finishing Complete colorwork & ribbing and bind off. Discussion on blocking techniques.
It’s a great way to explore colorwork in a small, satisfying project. Whether you’re new to stranded knitting or looking for a quick seasonal knit, this class is a perfect fit.
Skill Level
Advanced beginner. Must know how to long tail cast on, knit, purl, knit in the round and basic bind off.
Class price: $55 + materials.
All yarn must be purchased at The Creative Knot. A 10% discount will be given to all class supplies.

Pattern: Fair Isle Headband
Yarn: Worsted Weight - 2 Contrasting Colors Takes total 86 yards approx. Recommended Cascade 220 SW Merino or similar yarn.
Needles: US 6 16” circular
Notions: Stitch markers, tapestry/darning needle

Donna learned both knit & crochet as a child, and has fallen back in love with both (knitting for 15+ years, crocheting for 3+). Donna loves to knit & crochet pretty much everything she can get her hands on, including blankets, hats, shawls, cowls, fingerless mitts, tops & sweaters. She loves anything fiber-related and also felts, dyes yarn, embroiders, and loves needlepoint & crewelwork.
