Beyond the Basics: Sophie Scarf - Wednesdays, October 1, 8 & 15, 6 pm - 7 pm
Ready to take the next step in your knitting journey? This three-session class is perfect for knitters who know the basics and are ready to expand their skills with a fun, practical project.
Together, we’ll knit the Sophie Scarf by Petit Knit—the must-have accessory of the season! This stylish, versatile piece is the perfect project to build your confidence while learning new techniques you’ll use again and again.
In this class, you’ll learn:
• Continental cast-on
• Creating an I-cord edge
• KFB (knit front and back increase)
• SKP (slip, knit, pass decrease)
• Bind-off techniques
By the end, you’ll have a chic handmade scarf and the skills to tackle even more projects with ease.
Skill Level: Must be able to cast-on, knit, purl, bind-off (must have some knitting experience or taken a Beginner Knit class)
Class price: $65 + materials and pattern
Class Schedule: 3-part class. Each session is 60 minutes. You must be able to attend all classes.

Needles: US 5 or 6 needles
Yarn: 1 skein dk weight
Notions: stitch markers, darning needle
We ask that all yarn for classes be purchased in the shop. 10% discount will be applied. Materials can be purchased at the shop prior to class.

Lisa has been knitting for over 10 years and brings a warm, encouraging teaching style to every class. She’s a recent (and very welcome!) addition to The Creative Knot team and loves helping new knitters build confidence and enjoy the creative process.
