Bead Stitch Crochet Sweater Class - Thursdays, September 25 & October 9 , 11 am - 12:30 pm
Ready to take your crochet skills to the next level? This class is designed for advanced beginners who are ready to make their first garment! You’ll crochet a stylish sweater using the bead stitch—a fun and textured technique that adds beautiful detail to your project.
The sweater is made in four separate pieces (front, back, and two sleeves), then sewn together. The front and back panels are identical, making the construction straightforward. The pattern includes US women’s sizes XS–XXL.
In this class, you’ll learn how to:
– Read and follow a crochet pattern
– Work the bead stitch
– Shape panels using increases and decreases
– Seam pieces together and finish your garment professionally
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner. You should already be comfortable with:
– Single crochet and double crochet stitches
– Basic crochet terms and working in rows
This is a great next step for anyone who's made accessories or small projects and wants to explore garment-making in a friendly, supportive environment.

– #4 medium weight yarn Yardage 910 - 1210 yards (832 - 1106 m)
– Crochet hooks: 5mm and 6mm
– Scissors
– Yarn needle
– Stitch markers

Jackie learned to knit and crochet as a child and has been honing her skills for over 30 years. With more than 4 years of experience working in the yarn shop, she offers both private and group classes. Jackie’s favorite projects are sweaters, and in her spare time, she enjoys painting with watercolors and pastels, baking at home, and staying active.
